Transplant Master tutorial: copy the mix decisions of a reference
2 min read · Updated
Transplant Master copies the mix decisions of a reference song, track by track: it separates the reference into stems, measures each one, compares them with your tracks and sends each Transplant Track the correction (level, EQ, dynamics, width) that brings your mix closer to the reference. It is still in development: its interface may change. The numbers match the markers on the screenshot.
Step by step

Set up both plugins
Put a Transplant Track on each track (choosing its ROLE) and Transplant Master on the master, with the same SESSION everywhere ("Session 1" by default).
Load the reference
Drop the reference song into the RÉFÉRENCE panel (or CHARGER… = load) and choose the MODE: Rapide (4 stems) or Avancé (6 stems). Wait for the separation to finish.
Start playback
Play your song: each track measures its DNA, and COMPARAISON shows RÉFÉRENCE / TON MIX (reference / your mix) with the differences in colour.
Choose what is copied
Corrections go out to the tracks: choose NIVEAU (level), EQ, EQ DYN., DYNAMIQUE (dynamics) or LARGEUR (width), and set the amount with QUANTITÉ GLOBALE.
Compare
TRANSPLANT gives an instant before / after; ÉCOUTE A/B plays YOUR MIX or the REFERENCE at the same loudness.
Save a DNA
Like the result? Name it and click SAUVER (save) to reuse it on another project.
How it works
The reference is separated into stems (vocals, drums, bass, other, plus guitar and piano in Avancé mode) by the NAUPLY Stems engine. Each group of tracks sharing a role is compared with its stem: relative level, peak, spectral slope, width, density and attack. Stems are never kept on disk.
A Transplant Track on each track
Each Transplant Track states its track's role (vocal, kick, snare, drums, bass, lead, pads, other) and applies the computed chain: gain, static and dynamic EQ, compression, soft saturation and width. The master's PISTES (tracks) list shows the tracks linked to the session.
Controlling the corrections
RECALCULER (recompute) sends the corrections right away; FIGER (freeze) stops them following the measurement continuously, to keep a stable setting. ANNULER cancels a running separation, EFFACER forgets the reference (tracks keep their last correction).
Reusing a DNA
ADN (PRESETS) loads, saves or deletes a DNA: settings only, never the reference's audio. For a simple overall comparison on the master, without separation, Reference Match is enough.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Transplant Master available?
- Not yet: it is in development, and its interface may change before release.
- Is the reference's audio kept?
- No. Stems are never kept on disk, and a saved DNA contains settings only.
- Do I need a Transplant Track on every track?
- Yes: it measures the track and applies the correction computed by the master, within the same SESSION.
